If a unit does not exist in the property yet, it can be added while in the New Account application by using the Quick Unit Add feature.
This is another way to add a unit without going into Unit Maintenance.
How to Add a Unit using the Quick Unit Add tool:
1. While in the New Account application, click the Add Unit button, , and the Quick Unit Add tool will appear.
2. Enter the unit information by filling out the necessary fields. Then click the Save button, .
3. This unit will be the unit selected in the Unit dropdown list and the account you are creating will be assigned to this unit.
The filter fields of the Quick Unit Add tool are further defined:

Select the property to which a new unit will be added |
Street Name |
Select the street name of the new unit. Only street names currently entered in Unit Maintenance will be available to choose from. |
Street # |
Enter the house number of the new unit. |
Unit # |
Enter the unit number of the new unit, if applicable. |
City |
Defaults to current city based on street name selected. If city is different, it can be manually entered. |
Zip Code |
Defaults to current zip code based on street name selected. If zip code is different, it can be manually entered. |
Lot/Block/Section |
Enter the lot, block and/or section number of the unit, if applicable. |
Reference |
Enter any reference regarding this unit. Can be used as a way to group or categorize similar units. (optional). |
Inspection Group |
Can be used to establish inspection groups which can then be selected when printing or when working with the mobile compliance website. (optional). |
Prior Account # |
Prior management company reference or account number (optional). This stays with the unit, not the owner. |
Billing Method |
Select the billing method: Developer/Builder linked to community or Resident. |
Owner |
Select the develop/builder who owns this unit, if applicable |
Acreage |
Enter the square footage of the unit property. |
Unit Value |
Enter the value of the unit divided by 100. |
Builder Recurring Billing |
Default is Standard. Other options are selected when using Specialized Billing. Recurring codes are defined through Setup | Program Defaults | Codes | Program Area: Recurring. Used when there is a builder billing specified to one or multiple units. The billing stays with the unit unless changed in Unit Maintenance or out of Builder control. |
Resident Recurring Billing |
Default is Standard. Other options are selected when using Specialized Billing. Recurring codes are defined through Setup | Program Defaults | Codes | Program Area: Recurring. |
Unit Recurring Billing |
Default is Standard. Other options are selected when using Specialized Billing. Recurring codes are defined through Setup | Program Defaults | Codes | Program Area: Recurring. Used when the unit is no longer in Builder control and there is a billing specified to one or multiple units. |
