The centralized VMS database allows users to create a Master Template, which eliminates potential duplicate data entry. A master template provides the outline for a property management company where the user can save information that is universal to all a new properties added to the system. Fields on the Master Template include: A/R posting codes, A/P items, G/L chart of accounts, coupon definition, compliance data and vendor information.

 

The Master Template eliminates much data entry and ensures consistency within a company's properties. VMS provides users with sample templates based on two accounting methods: cash-based and accrual-based. The user is free to modify these to suit their company's needs or create their own.
