The Future Owner sub-account can be created by a 3rd party resale document vendor, that will push the possible new owner into VMS, and will be identified as a future owner account.

 

This account will remain linked to the current owner, until the final resale process is completed in VMS, by going into New Account.

 

When you go into New Account and select a unit that has a Future Owner sub-account, you will be prompted: “The future resident ‘XYZ’ exists on this unit. Use Future Account?”

 

By pressing Yes button, the Future Owner account will become the new current owner, and the other account will become the prior owner.

 

This integration point allows you to know the possible new owner of a unit before you have all the paper work on hand
