Sub-accounts can be made inactive as easily as a regular account can. When making an account inactive, it is ideal to make sure the balance is zero.
One particular situation where this may be needed is when the association no longer needs to track special assessments on a separate ledger or when a tenant has moved out.
How to make a sub-account inactive:
1. In Account Maintenance, find the sub-account you want to make inactive.
2. Under the Accounts tab, click the Switch To: Inactive button.
3. A Data Verification window will pop-up.
4. Select Yes to accept the change. The sub-account will become inactive.
