This feature is commonly used when you have imported or converted a property into VMS and there are one or more account records for a single address. It was created to handle different charges on separate ledgers.
To move a Resident into a Sub-account:
1. Find the extra Unit in Unit Maintenance.
2. Right-click over the Unit and select Move Resident into Sub-Account.
3. Select the name of the Sub-Account you want to move the resident to.
4. The Find Account feature will appear. Search for the Unit you want to move the Resident into. Highlight the unit and hit the Select button.
5. You will receive this Account Transfer Notification.
6. Select the Yes or No button to complete the transfer of the Resident into the selected sub-account.
Selecting Yes in the window above will provide this verification window:
