CLASS EIGHT: Setting up a Property - Start to Finish

The previous classes are the foundation to properly setting up a property in VMS. After reviewing these classes, users should be able to enter all the information into VMS and know how the system will use it.

 

This class will briefly inform users what course of action to take when entering a new property into VMS. Users will be referred back to previous classes for more detail on specific steps in the process.

Using VMS Import or Conversion Utility to enter property information

 

Entering Adjustments for homeowners' beginning balances (APPLICATIONS | Account Maintenance Group | Adjustments)

 

Turning on the GL to begin posting to the general ledger (SETUP | Property Group | Property Setup | Accounting | GL)

 

Entering journal entries to enter beginning balances for GL accounts (APPLICATIONS | General Ledger Group | Journal Entry)

 

Enter a budget (APPLICATIONS | General Ledger Group | Budget)

 

Reconciling the bank accounts (APPLICATIONS | General Ledger Group | Banking)

Complete review of CLASS ONE through CLASS SEVEN.
